  A Texas woman fatally shot by police after killing her two daughters told her husband, “This is about punishing you,” . A family friend of Taylor and Madison Sheats and their parents Christy and Jason Sheats told KTRK-TV on Tuesday that the shooting Friday evening at a suburban Houston home followed one of the couple’s frequent arguments.

Lagos Warns Residents To Stay Away From 'Dry' Ogun River

                   The Lagos State Government on Monday released an official statement warning residents to keep off the Ogun River, near the Kara Cattle Market which was recently blocked by vegetation, saying that the river could open up at any time with dire consequences. Last weekend, the river was taken over by vegetation, caused by a heavy storm, which created a compacted layer over the river. Residents in the area were stunned by the incident and turned the area to a tourist site of some sort, with some residents seen walking on the blocked river and taking pictures.

Senate Committee reveals how Jimoh Ibrahim diverted N35b aviation intervention fund to Ghana

The Joint Senate Committee on Aviation and Anti-corruption on Monday began probe into the sum of $40Million Afrix Loan and N86.6Million of its counterpart fund said to have been released by the federal government in 2011 to the Ministry of Aviation. The fund which was disbursed by the Central Bank of Nigeria through the aid of Bank of Industry was said to have been misappropriated, a situation that contributed to the collapse of the Aviation industry in Nigeria.

NDLEA Apprehends S/African Woman With Cocaine At Lagos Airport

Offcials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 34-year-old South African woman, who attempted to smuggle 1.210kg of white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine on her way to South Africa. The alleged drug trafficker, who is an apprentice chef had two parcels of cocaine carefully concealed inside her brassiere on her way to Johannesburg when she was arrested by the anti-drug agency at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
