You know there’s fire on the mountain when a PDP Senator says his party is dead
Senator Ifeanyi Ararume hasn’t exactly left the Peoples Democratic Party but his utterances and support of Governor Rochas Okorocha suggests that its only a matter of time.
After being denied the opportunity of being PDP’s governorship candidate in the 2015 governorship election, Ararume forged an alliance with Okorocha, candidate of the All Progressives Congress against Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
His alliance having been successful,- the Leader of Destiny Campaign Organisation has now come out to declare the PDP dead in Imo state.
According to Ararume, the PDP’s culture of impunity cost it the governorship seat of the state.
He said this during a recent ceremony organised in honour of those who worked for the re-election of Okorocha.
Ararume pointed out that although it wasn’t easy for the organisation to make a decision on who to support, he however, has no regret in pitching his tent with Okorocha, as it yielded the right result.
