The 1,111-carat stone was unearthed at a mine in northern Botswana.
It is the world’s second-largest gem quality diamond, second only to the Cullinan diamond found in South Africa in 1905.

Donald L.Baker, 59, the principal of Larsen Baker, LLC, and Dawn Hunter, 55, were killed when their two engine jet went down in Cedar Fort, Utah, while they were heading home to Tucson, Arizona, from a conference.
