Cheating on your partner? Watch out for the hi-tech mattress that can detect infidelity
The Smarttress mattress in action
The world's first ever mattress that can detect infidelity has been invented in Spain.
The hi-tech bed can sense 'suspicious activity' and tell its owner via a phone app if the mattress is in use and how many people are on it.
The 'Smartress' was created by Spanish mattress maker Durmet after figures revealed that the Spanish are the most unfaithful people in Europe.
Its Lover Detection System includes 24 ultrasonic sensors that generate a 3D map of the mattress to show exactly which areas are receiving greater pressure, at what movement is taking place, all in 'real time'.

The Spanish are the most unfaithful in Europe - but Londoners aren't far behind
Durmet spokesman Jose Antonio Muinos said: "We came up with the idea after we saw the figures on infidelity that said Spaniards were the most unfaithful in Europe.
"It is a concept that will bring peace of mind to men and women, not just during the night but also during the day while they are out at work and the bed should really be being used.
"On the outside it is just a normal looking and very comfortable mattress, but inside hides some cutting-edge technology.
"We think the mattress will do well internationally because it is the only one in the world that uses this technology and is designed specifically for the objective of catching cheating partners."

The mattress communicates with its owner through a phone app
Potential buyers can purchase the product on the Smarttress website with the 'utmost confidentiality', Mr Muinos said.
