Coca-Cola Advert Banned by Kenya’s Film Classification Board Over Kissing Scene- WATCH
Coca-Cola has been forced to edit out a kissing scene from their latest advert tagged ‘Taste the Feeling’ by the Kenya’s Film Classification Board (KFCB) following complaints that it was unsuitable for family viewing in Kenya.
According to reports, Kenya’s state film regulator stated on Wednesday that the kissing scene in the advert violated family values. So, Coca-Cola has agreed to release a new version of the commercial without the scene which was effected yesterday night. The head of the Kenyan film board, Ezekiel Mutua also confirmed the development: “The advert will be edited and, effective tonight Wednesday 13th April 2016, there will be a new version without the offensive kissing scenes that violate family values” he stated.

The three-second scene, which has been termed offensive, showed two strangers kissing with passion in a library while holding a bottle of Coke. In his statement, Ezekial Mutua thanked the members of the public and those who brought the matter to their attention. He also added that the KFCB has urged Coca Cola to adhere to the Programming Code and classification guidelines of the board and ensure that their adverts conform to the national values and morality of the country.
The KFCB has once asked YouTube to remove a music video about same-sex relationships on “moral grounds”.
