The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, in a bid to make foreign exchange more available to low end users, has licensed 11 new International Money Transfer Operators, IMTOs, to operate in Nigeria. Disclosing this in a statement on Tuesday, the acting Spokesman of the apex bank, Isaac Okorafor, said CBN was committed to providing an enabling environment for international money transfer services in the country.

The gate man, with an undisclosed identity, was said to have resumed work about two months ago. He was reportedly brought by the deceased’s former gate man.

One Joseph Olude, a pastor of Elohim Cherubim and Seraphim Church, in the Hunbe area of Ogun State has been arrested for alleged robbery. Six suspected burglars have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in the Ikoyi area of the state.         According to Punch, the suspects were sharing their loot when they were arrested by police operatives. It was gathered that the men, identified as Friday Eze, Stanley Ejiofor, Femi Miracle, Raphael Ijoha, Emmanuel Omojuwa and Daniel Thomas, were arrested by men of the Ikoyi Police Division on Tuesday, August 9.

  A woman, Fatima Williams, and her neighbour, Waliu Yusuf, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly brutalising a 16-year-old girl, identified only as Kemi, with a hot iron and electric cables. It was learnt that the Kemi who was brought from Cotonou, Benin Republic,had been reportedly living with Williams, popularly called Alhaja, on Soji Adepegba Close, Allen Avenue, Ikeja,since January 2016 as a housemaid.

              The police in Abuja have arrested three suspected fraudsters, who held a businessman hostage at Durumi, Area One, seized his property documents and forced him to sign a Diamond bank cheque for N8,050,000. The gang also cashed three additional cheques totalling N450,000 from the bank account of their victim before their operation was foiled by the police, who responded to a distress call from residents. The suspects, Okechukwu Emeka (39), Ugorji Maranatha (37) and Momoh Jimoh were arrested soon after.

                               CCTV cameras captured the bizarre moment a woman pulled down her knickers and took a pee in a cup on a shop counter in a corner shop - then DRANK it.  Her act was said to be a mini protest after a staff member refused to let her use the shop's loo. The shocking incident was caught on the shop's CCTV and shows her climbing onto the counter and urinating into a paper cup next to the cash register before putting the cup to her lips and drinking its contents.
