Asamoah Gyan Confirms Relocating His Baby Jet Airlines To Ivory Coast Due To Frustration From Ghanaian Officials
Asamoah Gyan has confirmed that he will be moving his Baby Jet Airlines to Ivory Coast
because of the frustration he is receiving from officials in the Ghanaian aviation industry and the delay in operationalizing the airlines.
Asamoah Gyan secured the license to operate the airline in 2018 but failed to obtain the Air Operator Certificate to officially start operations.
This was because Jet Airways management could not fulfill the requirement in the areas of business operation manuals, aircraft acquisition, crew, and management information.
However, all those requirements have now been met and permission has been given to the Airlines to start operation. But the skipper said the high cost of operating and starting a business in Ghana is the reason he is willing to relocate his business.
He said:
I’m relocating my airline business to the neighboring Ivory Coast, because of the high cost of starting up in ghana. A lot of unnecessary bureaucracy and frustration in our system.
