                                    The Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor on lnformation and Communications Technology, Ik Ogbonna, has denied the alleged statement made by his boss on Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's involvement with the passing of APC's gubernatorial candidate in the Kogi State election, Prince Audu Abubakar, and called it a “tale full of thrash.”

                    Americans have been issued with a global travel alert over fears of attacks from terrorists around the world. The US State Department has warned all citizens to be vigilant citing threats from ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and "other terrorist groups”. They have advised everyone to take caution in public places, during holidays and at large gatherings such as sporting matches or concerts. Four suspected kidnappers lost their lives weekend at Kaani in Khana local government area during a fierce gun battle with men of the Rivers State police command. Iran has sentenced detained Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian to an unspecified prison term following his conviction last month on charges that include espionage, Iranian state TV reported Sunday.
